Open Show
The Royal Kennel Club announced last week that from 1st January 2027 the Xoloitzcuintle Standard size dogs will be joining the main RKC register.
This means that they will no longer be entered and exhibited in the Utility Import Classes, will either have their own specific classes at shows or enter the AVNSC classes (any variety not separately classified).
The intermediate and mini size Xolos will continue to be shown in the import register classes until such time as there are sufficient numbers so the Xolo club can apply for them to come off as well. So we need owners of these sizes to enter shows as much as possible.
For the club this means that from next year we will hold an Open Show for the standards. With that in mind we have decided that we would like to hold an Open show before the end of May 2027, with a fun/companion show for the intermediate and minis on the same day.
Details will be shared once finalised. Everyone is very welcome to join us as this will be a celebration of the breed on this special day!!
